Our Mental Health First Aid Courses are becoming incredibly popular and our online course schedule is now available for remainder of 2022.
About the Mental Health First Aid Course
Developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia, the Blended Online MHFA Community Course has been adapted from the Standard Course for adults. As a result, the course provides the same level of training and accreditation as the Standard Course but with the convenience of self-paced eLearning and instructor-led online sessions.
Mental Health First Aid is an education course to learn how to give support to others. You will learn:
- the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in adults,
- how to provide initial help, where and how to get professional help,
- what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective; and,
- how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.
Our courses are run by our Principal Master Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Jenny Blaikie who is currently running highly successful programs for organisations including Open Arms, APM and BHP.
“The extent knowledge of the instructor helped me to understand more about Mental Health and gave me more confidence to support people if needed.”
