This week marks Mental Health Week throughout Australia.
It is an opportunity for everyone to focus on what all of us can do to look after our mental health – and to help those who need our support.
As time goes on, the stigma and discrimination in relation to these problems are breaking down, but we still have a long way to go. The more we can do to continue this conversation, at home, in our communities and in our workplaces, the more we can do to boost mental wellbeing.
It goes without saying that we all live busy lives and sometimes we lose sight of what is going on around us. And that means that sometimes, we don’t see those who need our help.
The theme of this year’s campaign in Queensland is:
Take Time – for Mental Health
Over the coming week, we will be publishing on our website, on our Facebook and Instagram pages a series of actions that can be beneficial to everyone – please come back regularly to see what you can do.
Also watch out for articles on items on our Mental Health First Aid Courses, Mental Health in the Workplace and many other relevant topics.
